Donation Guidelines for The SANA Boutique
Thank you for your interest in supporting survivors of domestic abuse through The SANA Boutique. To ensure that each item we offer is of the highest quality, we ask that all donations meet the following guidelines.
- Clothing Requirements
- New Only: To provide a fresh start for our clients, we only accept brand-new clothing items. Clothing must have tags attached or be in original packaging.
- In-Season, Current Styles: We accept clothing appropriate for the current season, focusing on items that survivors can use immediately. Modern, professional, and casual styles are ideal.
- Variety of Sizes: We welcome clothing in all sizes to accommodate the diverse needs of those we serve.

- Accepted Clothing Items
- Professional Attire: Blouses, dress shirts, blazers, skirts, trousers, suits
- Casual Wear: T-shirts, jeans, sweaters, sweatshirts, leggings
- Outerwear: Jackets, coats, scarves, gloves (seasonal)
- Accessories: New shoes, bags, scarves, belts, and jewellery
- Professional Attire: Blouses, dress shirts, blazers, skirts, trousers, suits
- Personal Care Items
- Hygiene and Beauty Products: We accept new, unopened hygiene products such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, deodorant, and makeup. All items must be in their original packaging and within expiration dates.

- Bedding, Linens, and Home Goods
- Bedding and Linens: New sheets, pillowcases, blankets, comforters, and towels are welcome. All items should be unused and in original packaging when possible.
- Home Goods: We accept new kitchen utensils, dishware, small appliances, and other household items. Items should be in original packaging and ready for immediate use.

- Children’s Items
- Clothing: New children’s clothing in various sizes, packaged or with tags attached.
- Toys and Books: New toys and books in original packaging or excellent retail condition. Please ensure all toys are functional, safe, and age-appropriate.

- Other Considerations
- Quality Assurance: Please inspect items for any defects (e.g., stains, rips, missing buttons) to ensure they are in excellent condition.
- Packaging for Drop-Off: To streamline processing, please place all items in labelled bags or boxes.
- Delivery and Large Donations: For large donations or corporate contributions, please contact us to arrange pickup or delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Please inspect items for any defects (e.g., stains, rips, missing buttons) to ensure they are in excellent condition.
- Items We Cannot Accept
For health, safety, and space reasons, we are unable to accept the following:
- Used or second-hand clothing
- Worn or damaged shoes
- Used personal care or hygiene products
- Used Bedding, linens, or home goods
- Used Children’s clothing or toys
- Used or second-hand clothing
For consistency, we do not accept used items of any kind, perishable food, oversized furniture, or large appliances.
